Richard Lee Gray Jr

About the Author

Born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, Richard Lee Gray Jr. has traveled the world, from Turkey and the Philippines to Japan and Texas, gaining experiences that would later shape his storytelling. A proud U.S. Air Force veteran, he holds a B.S. in Computer Information Systems from the University of the Incarnate Word, an A.A.S. in Network Administration from St. Philip’s College, and is CompTIA A+ certified. His academic path also includes two foundational years at Central State University. With a career spanning major tech‑telecom names such as HP, Dell Pro Support, Verizon, AT&T, Siemens, Fujitsu, and more, Richard brings a uniquely global, technical lens to everything he writes.

The Siriuns, his debut novel, has been over 20 years in the making, a journey that began in high school notebooks and evolved through decades of research, revision, and lived experience. What started as raw sketches became a richly layered saga that mirrors real world struggles against oppression, addiction, and war.

Richard believes science fiction isn’t just about the future—it’s a way to confront the past and re‑imagine the present. The Siriuns is more than a novel; it’s a bold commentary and a testament to perseverance, imagination, and truth.

Mission

To write unapologetically bold stories that speak truth through fiction, amplify marginalized voices, and make readers think, laugh, and wake up. Richard believes storytelling isn’t just entertainment. It’s resistance, healing, and revolution.

Vision

To spark a new wave of genre storytelling that’s inclusive, rebellious, and rooted in cultural identity. Through works like The Siriuns, Richard aims to build bridges between the ancient and the futuristic, the spiritual and the political, and the personal and the universal.

Goal

To invite readers into worlds that feel real because they are. Whether through the lens of galactic warfare or a character’s quiet self-discovery, every story Richard tells is grounded in purpose: to provoke, to empower, and to leave a mark that lingers long after the last page.

The War for the Celestium Has Begun

The Siriuns is sharp, fearless, and unfiltered  where every star burns with history, and every battle asks who we choose to be. In a galaxy shaped by colonization, addiction, and rebellion, the Dawgs o’ Dripp rise not just to fight but to protect the truth, no matter the cost.

Military Service & Global Perspective

During his 15‑year journey with the Ohio Air National Guard and the U.S. Air Force, Richard served on communications and electronic‑systems teams at bases as diverse as Incirlik AB (Turkey), Clark AB (Philippines), and Yokota AB (Japan). From delivering emergency network restores after typhoons in the Pacific to hardening satellite links during NATO operations in the Middle East, he earned a reputation for calm leadership under pressure. Exposure to multiple cultures and conflict zones deepened his understanding of power, resilience, and unity—insights he weaves directly into the moral backbone of The Siriuns.
