We imagine a slow decline into dependency. But, like Confucius said, when we realize we have just one life, everything changes. Parkinson\u2019s didn\u2019t end my life\u2014it gave me a second one that has had even more meaning than the first.<\/p><p>This second life isn\u2019t about waiting for the worst; it\u2019s about embracing the fight, finding that anything is still possible, and making each day matter. A diagnosis doesn\u2019t signal the end; it\u2019s the beginning of a new chapter\u2014one filled with purpose, determination, and the will to keep moving forward, despite new challenges.<\/p><p>This website was inspired by the amazing Parkinson\u2019s Warriors I\u2019ve met since my diagnosis, many through The Parkinson\u2019s Fight Club Facebook group. Jamie Bryson, who started the facebook group, believes in fighting back with positivity and humor\u2014because feeling sorry for ourselves and doom and gloom don\u2019t help anyone.<\/p><p>Yes, there will be tough days, but together, we can stay positive, keep our heads up, and continue to fight. My goal is to bring like-minded warriors together, share tools for managing symptoms, and celebrate victories along the way.
