Children At Heart is a faith-driven educational foundation dedicated to empowering the youngest minds in Mazembe, a rural village in northern Malawi. We believe that every child deserves the right tools, environment, and encouragement to grow into a self-sufficient, compassionate adult.
What began as a heartfelt moment on a mission trip has blossomed into a movement to create age-appropriate learning opportunities for children aged 4 to 8, those most vulnerable to being left behind. In a country where the average classroom has nearly 100 students per teacher, Children At Heart seeks to provide not just access to education, but quality, intimacy, and joy in learning.
Our classrooms are warm, nurturing spaces where children are introduced to literacy, numeracy, creativity, and the love of God. We strive to offer more than just school, we offer a strong foundation that sets the course for lifelong achievement.
With your partnership, these children are given a chance to be seen, heard, taught, and loved. Together, we can uplift a community, one child, one classroom, one future at a time.

Empowering Young Minds Through Early Education in Malawi
I am amazed that God uses ordinary people to accomplish extra ordinary things. Working with the children in the local school system for almost thirty years has been a pleasure. When I had the opportunity to travel to Malawi, Africa on a mission’s trip; we ministered to the children. Their hearts were so attentive to every word that I said, even with an interpreter!
There is a school in the village for older children who can walk the distance, but nothing for the children who are from four to eight years of age. These kindergarteners, first graders, and second graders are missing that crucial foundation of having a book read to them, or of even the simple pleasure of learning how to use a pencil.
Thanks to your donations, these children will now have the opportunity to attend school in an age-appropriate classroom with a first-class curriculum that we hope will lead the children into future academic success.
Early childhood is the most important time of development in a children’s lives. Preschool is a time for kids to fall in love with learning. Children at Heart, works to promote that growth mentally, physically, and spiritually!
